Celebrate Celtic Style!
Can you hear the ...

...bagpipes drone across the moors; a Highland dancer steps to lively jigs in a castle keep; a hammered dulcimer chimes out lively polkas and reels; a maiden sings haunting Gaelic melodies to sooth the soul. Let the music of AON take you back to the Ireland and Scotland of days past....AON, Kinda Celtic TM

AON Kicks off 2012 with a growing list of appearances

For 2012, the line up for AON is expanding.

Already booked for two gigs on St. Patricks Day - one at St. William of York in Stafford, the other a surprise to be announced soon.
We are booked almost an entire month from the end of May to Mid June at the Virginia Renaissance Fair in Lake Anna.
And lastly, we have been invited in May to perform at the Chesterfield Library Concert Series in southside Richmond.  Details to follow.

Thanks for a great 2011, now on to 2012

We would like to thank everyone who came to see us at Fredericksburg First Night.   Our first year there was a hit and we played to a packed house in both sets even though there was a last minute schedule change.

Stay tuned in 2012 for AON's gigs on St. Patricks Day, our second year at the Virginia Renaissance Festival and more!

Ring in the New Year with AON at First Night Fredericksburg

Well AON has had two incredible performances this month...one with the Fredericksburg Scottish Society at the Park Lane Pub celebrating St. Andrew's Day. St. Andrew is the patron saint of Scotland.  What a wonderful way to celebrate a Saint's day with a few pints of Wicked Thistle and Scottish Ale.  The second was a private Xmas party for the Lions Club of Arlington.

Now AON is getting ready for Fredericksburg First Night on December 31st.   Come out and celebrate the new year Celtic style!    We are performing at 7 and 9.  Check our calendar for links to the First Night site.

AON Gets Ready for Virginia Renassiance Festival

Our first venue in a true Renassance festival is fast approaching and AON is learning what it means to play without the assistance of 21st Century amplification.   Refining an English dialect will be fun and I am looking forward to working up some skits and acts around our music.   We perform at the Va. Renassance Festival May 28-29 and June 4-5.

AON Band at the Colonial Tavern in downtown Fredericksburg!

This Thursday January 27th please join us for a great time from 8 to 11 pm at the Colonial Tavern in Downtown Fredericksburg. We'll have our new drummer,  and all the instruments you love! Bring friends!

Pushing AON further

We are currently almost finished our rebranding effort for AON.  Adding a drummer and getting our old bass player back has added alot to our sound.   Adding a lead singer/part time fidller has add more eye appeal to the group and I feel confident we can move into some new markets like weddings, wakes, wine tastings etc.   I am excited and I think our fans will like our new more upbeat yet still traditional sound.  Look out here we come!
